Keep reminding yourself, “I’m possible!”
so true

1. Consumption
Water: brush my teeth, 8 min. shower, 3 glasses of water, flushed twice, washed hands
Food: Cereal, Ramen, Mango, Persimmon, turkey sandwhich, Banana, Orange
Electricity: Laptop, lamp, TV
Gasoline (fossil fuels): Car to Gymboree class about 30 min back and forth.
$$Money$$ - Zeroo
2. Reduction -
I did it! Less food today. Continued letting my hair air dry. Today was Spread the Word; I told my mom to eat less with me too.
3. Sustainability -
I kept myself back from eating junk by eating more fruits instead. My grandma went to the mart today and came back with a whole lot of fruits and so I ate a lot of them whenever I felt like eating junk. I think I will let my hair air dry from now on instead of using the blowdryer. I’ve noticed I’ve used less water now as well like taking shorter showers. These are some things throughout the week that I’ve worked on that I now feel confident in continuing on.
4. Peers -
I’ve noticed that some people have been taking this challenge very seriously and making some things a permanent change to their daily lives. There’s no such thing that we can’t reduce on, but it’s just that it’s a very hard habit to fix. Everyone’s learned something out of this challenge, habits that they can’t fix and other reductions that they never realize they can make it through. What’s good about this is that we’re now capable of making certain changes in the future!

1. Consumption
Water: brush my teeth, 10 min. shower, 3 glasses of water, flushed twice, washed hands
Food: Cereal, Wheat Bread, Teriyaki, Red Velvet Cheesecake, Porridge, Yogurt
Electricity: Laptop, lamp
Gasoline (fossil fuels): Carpooled with friend to school & took the train home.
$$Money$$ - $23 on cheesecake & teriyaki
2. Reduction -
I’m letting my hair air dry at the moment, so no blowdryer again!! I always have my lamp on instead of the light. The light is just too bright for my eyes. And no TV since I’ve gotten home.
3. Sustainability -
Me & my friends went to the Cheesecake Factory today and I wanted to treat one of them to some cake because it was her birthday the other day. Then we all went to the food court to get some Teriyaki. And it just happens that Fridays are usually going out to eat somewhere. It’s really not easy for me to do Food Fridays. If only Food Fridays happened on another day. It’s hard not spending money on Fridays.

I find that people are using less electricity like less laptop and less lights. Some people are also eating less and healthier. After what I had today I felt kinda bad since today’s theme was eating less food, but I’m going to try to eat less and healthy tomorrow.

Turn off the lights when you aren’t using them. Your wallet and your grand children will thank you !

1. Consumption
Water: brush my teeth, 10 min. shower, 2 glasses of water, flushed twice, washed hands
Food: cereal, bagel, Mentos, rice w/ shrimp, orange
Electricity: Laptop, lamp, TV
Gasoline (fossil fuels): Carpooled with friend to school & took the train home.
$$Money$$ - Nada.
2. Reduction -
I didn’t use the blowdryer this morning, instead I let my hair air-dry. I haven’t used the laptop for anything else besides watching movies and this. My brother is sleeping so I turned off all the lights and only have the lamp on in my room.
3. Sustainability -
This morning was very cold and I couldn’t help it but take a longer shower than yesterday. I think I can use less of the blowdryer from now on. I usually blowdry my hair in the mornings because I don’t have a lot of time, but I can wake up a few minutes early to give more time for my hair to air-dry. Plus, it’s more healthy for my hair!!
4. Peers -
Many people have grown used to some way of reducing their consumption. I see that people have been starting to walk to school more often and others are turning off lights in other rooms that they’re not in. These are some good habits, but I can’t walk to school because I live so far away from the school, it’d take me like hours.
